The technique

An horizontal incision is made at the upper part of the pubic hair.

A meticulous liposuction is performed at the beginning of the surgery. Skin is then elevated and placed under tension once the umbilicus has been isolated. Muscles are repaired if they are loose and stretched (following pregnancies for example).

Two points are to be noted :

liposuction, performed at the beginning of the surgery, allows for much smaller scars,
at the end of the surgery, the umbilicus is replaced in its normal position, with no visible scars.

Abdominal wall

Very distended and scarred abdomen. The abdomen. The abdominoplasty has allowed to correct the skin, the fat and the muscles in order to obtain such result at three months.

Thinner lady. Same type of operation with, in particular, an excellent defatting. Notice the important thinning of the silhouette.

Preoperative tests are required.
Hospitalization : 3 to 4 days.
Duration of operation : 2 hours.
Anesthesia : either general or epidural.
Postoperative period : it is recommended to wear support panties for 15 days to 3 weeks.
Resumption of normal activity : 15 days to one month after surgery.
