The anesthesia

Progress accomplished in anesthesia techniques allows aesthetic surgery to be performed in the best comfort and the safest conditions, with simplified postoperative recovery.

Simple local anesthesia is reserved for patients who are comfortable with operative procedures, and for short operations.

The intravenous (IV) sedation is an intermediate technique between pure local anesthesia and general anesthesia. The anesthesiologist supervises the patient during the operation and regulates the necessary drugs to achieve the patient’s comfort. A complementary local anesthesia is performed by the surgeon. This technique is used for interventions not exceeding 1:30 to 2 hours.
