Lower eyelids
This surgery is indicated when puffy eyelids exist due to fatty pockets. It is necessary to specify if wrinkles and rings exist, they will only be lessened. A peeling or laser will then be recommended to complement.
The technique
The scar is placed 1 mm below the eyelash line allowing to remove with precaution the surplus of skin and fatty pockets responsible for the puffiness.
The scar is invisible. As previously, the operation can de made alone or combined with another one, especially a face lift.
Remarks : currently the tendancy is to remove the pockets by a transconjunctival approach, i.e. from the inside of the eyelids. Therefore, there is no external scar. A peeling, when used in complement in the same operative time, allows the erasure of eyelid and “crow feet” wrinkles and tightens the skin without the risk of modifying the look.
